KEGAN Consulting is the business expression of Dr.Frank R. Kegan,Psy.D. incorporating my 40 years of research and independent scholarship based upon the most elite education available in 20th century America. Conventional wisdom, expected context, and assumed beliefs form the rails and tracks most folks accept as they ride their TV couch along with all the rest of modern society moving along from trend to trend feeling their power of democratic governancefully expressed in their power of choice fully contained in the range of options on their remote controls.

Logical analysis and objective observation easily discovers what is true behind,within and around what is generally expected. We live these days in a culture very similar to a set of recorded tapes on a railroad running along its tracks left on automatic pilot long ago. What is left to itself and ignored tends to grow exponentially as more and more folks find it easier to join along than to walk their own path, putting one foot in frontof the other along the natural paths of our shared environment of Planet Earth. This becomes an ever more perilous and metastable situation; however, it also involves ever greater disruption to even attempt to address the underlying problems.

Traditionally, all peoples shared the same fundamental perspective as Children of their Father the Sun and their supportive, eternally bountiful Mother Earth. Folks focused upon their own village, within the natural boundary of the Horizon and continued to live their lives year to year and millennium after millennium. The conditions of their lives were better or worse depending upon their ability to maintain their society organized upon their families and the continuing patterns of timing and opportunity expressed in the celestial dynamics of the seasons and growing seasons.

Then arose the innovation of the restless adolescents eager to explore beyond the local horizon and the eternal limitations of stable society. In Europe this innovation took two forms. The first the ancient conquest by the invading peoples with their horses, wagons, iron swords and view only the fertile land mattered and the local villages were only to be allowed to survive upon the land if they submitted totally and absolutely to the dominion of their Gentile Pagan ways based upon a cavalry of family relationships or genealogy. The grandfather as Commander-In-Chief, his sons as generals, and his grandsons as loyal lieutenants sharing the spoils of land and serfs according to their rank in the conquering army.

The next set of adolescent adventurers in Europe were the moderni or the new realization in the 11th century that the Gentile Pagan reality of the amazing Roman Empire was not just in decline but destroyed and never coming back. The Moderni or advocates of the perspective of the 'modus hodie' or "The Way Things are Today" came to prominence. If the glorious past is gone and the reality of here today is barely surviving,this leaves only two available options: 1) To think about what might be possible in the unknown and free Future. 2)To form armies to go out and make that future glorious by conquering those over the Horizon that are doing better than your people.

As a result, two innovations became the emblem of the new Modern Millennium (C.E.1001 to 2000 or Y2K). The first were the Crusades to conquer lands held by the far more sophisticated Muslim Empires in the Holy Land. The second was the new innovations at home where they let their great families focus solely upon the needs and requirements to support their Great Houses and system of wealthy hereditary Land Lords in the new system called primogeniture where all the land and property including the great family castle went solely to the eldest son.

The younger sons and all the daughters were obliged to leave, take up their own quest and crusade to conquer somewhere better or some better prospect of a husband to find their own great mansion to live in. The Great Estates and the wealthy Lord in his castle was considered more important than keeping the whole family together. Wealth was more important than kinship, and the essence of this modern millennium was established: wealth and conquest good, human relationships not so much.

The travel that ensued as the younger children took off on their adventures, only returning to visit if they had found a better situation and could manage to return with lots of fine goodies to show off to their eldest brother back in their family home in hopes of winning his approval. This gave rise to the new markets controlled by the local Lord where fine and exotic goods were sold in hopes the seller could win the approval of the lord, their older brother. This emotionally rigged market came to be known as the "Free Market" in the political spin where what benefited those in power controlling the marketplace was praised and called "free" since they were in control of everyone else--thus free to call it whatever they wished.

In the second half of the 20th century, this single minded pursuit of the goals of the modern millennium: foreign conquest for profit and family adventure to buy the approval of those left in charge of the great Landed Estates and their Castles started to pass their peak and begin to turn toward a downward trajectory. This was seen in the quagmire of the Vietnam War no longer being an economic boom and the rebellion of my Baby Boomer Generation seeking what would be better in their own experience not just the estimation of their elders.

This gave rise to the notion of the Postmodern, that there was something as yet not quite clear that would be the successor to the Modern Millennium. As the calendar moved toward the actual completion of the 1,000 years of the Modern Millennium this sense that it was time for something New; and not just the latest planned obsolescence of the annual new model rollover grew and grew, but it only could be called the Post postmodern.Since no one could imagine anything truly new or different.

At the very end of the thousand years of the Modern Millennium came two harbingers of our society's dealing with such epochal change. The Y2K crisis and the Supreme Court Decision of Bush v. Gore 531 U.S. 98 (2000). Together they put off any concerted effort to deal with the challenges of the new century, millennium and Great Age that all would burst upon our cultural reality in 2001 when the traditional innovation in warfare for this new century would appear. In the 19th century, 1801 saw Napoleon begin his campaign of European Conquest. In 1901 it was the British innovation of the "Concentration Camp" in their brutal suppression of the civilian population opposing them in the Boer War. In 2001 it was the innovation of using hijacked civilian airliners as cruise missiles on 9/11/01.

The roots of Al Qeda went back to the same folks who were again in military control of the U.S. government. It was their naivete training and arming Osama Bin Laden even including dozens of Stinger anti-aircraft missiles that created Al Qeda and convinced Bin Laden he could bring down the U.S. as the C.I.A. had helped him defeat the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. It was only a small misunderstanding. The U.S. conservatives, like Rumsfeld assumed their opposition to the Infidel Soviets meant they were anti-Communist and similar fundamentalist to the American G.O.P. They never bothered to consider what was truly their motivation, thus missing the detail that for Bin Laden anyone not his kind of Muslim was an Infidel and he made little distinction between Americans and Soviets in that regard.

After 9/11 the economic damage of the dot.com bubble was merged to that of the terror attacks and the government went into military paranoia mode combined with an urge to repeat the opportunities of the Crusades upon the Holy Land. The British example in Iraq after WWI was ignored (who read history in Bush World) so it was repeated in form but with even less success. Bin Laden was seen as convenient to stoke fear and prepare the invasion of Iraq which was seen as a far better nation to conquer than Afghanistan where even the rubble was bombed to rubble in several generations of brutal warfare.

Bush would lead the ultimate and catastrophic Crusade to the Holy Land of the transition from the Modern Millennium to the Next Great Age of Aquarius. As Lao Tzu notes in his Tao Te Ching (poem 36) That which shrinks [or is crushed] must first be allowed to expand. That which fails must first be strong[and allowed to misuse that strength for foolish expansion].

Y2K was the result of the catastrophic conflict between human ego and the simple logical precision of technology in the form of computers. Computers were seen as magical slaves of great profitability. Actually, they were just machines that could repeat their instructions absolutely and very quickly. The problem of expecting great profits from magical expectations from slaves has been a serious American problem since the end of the 17th century when the collapse of the sugar bubble on the London market made many British Sugar Plantation slaves redundant. The beginning boom in tobacco on the London market made for high profits for British shippers if they just scammed the colonials into following their greed and giving up all their morals and beliefs to extend their farming of tobacco in VA into a plantation system that had just failed in Jamaica.

In the Y2K crisis the roots of the problem were the high hopes for computers in general and the new computer language COBOL that would allow business executives to work directly with computer programmers to integrate their skills together. Like all idealized dreams, the reality didn't quite live up to the hype.

I learned the true secret of the Y2K crisis from the autocratic small-business owner father of some friends of ours. He said that he had gone to the big Consumer Electronics Show but no one had any software suitable to maintaining his company's idiosyncratic inventory and accounting system. I found that incredible--"No one could program their software to your requirements?" "They all said they could program something for us; but I did that once and I vowed never again! I wanted them to have a pre-programmed software that off the shelf would fit my unique system I had developed myself for my own company."

Then I understood the crux of the problem known as Y2K. It only existed in systems set up and programmed in the '80's using the innovative computer language COBOL (cf.Wiki: COBOL is one of the oldest programming languages. Its name is an acronym for COmmon Business-Oriented Language, defining its primary domain in business, finance, and administrative systems for companies and governments). The distinguishing feature in COBOL was that its programming code used English phrases so that the computer programmers could work with the executives, and the executives could read and understand the computer programming code.

What no one understood was that computers are absolutely logical solely and only; computer programmers are logical with limited social interaction skills; and executives are used to being the boss in control without any need whatsoever to be logical at all. They simply yelled at their assistants and secretaries until they figured out some way to accomplish what needed to be done to placate the boss. There could not have been a more emotionally charged situation than setting loose this national project to computerize all government and private enterprise through the combined efforts of COBOL computer programmers and local enterprise executives.

These were the early days of computers and computer programming when everyone involved thought this would just be a first step to be soon redone again all better as the computer technology doubled and advanced exponentially. However, it became such an emotionally traumatic experience this first work was all that was ever voluntarily undertaken.

Since computer memory was at a premium in those primitive first days of the technology, the programmers simplified their lives by using two digit numbers, 1 to 99 to express dates. Further, since the programming was so traumatic, they did not even take the step of putting in the single line of code defining dates as being 1900 plus this two digit number they were using. They just defined dates as numbers between 1 and 99 without any way to continue their code past the year 1999 (or 99 in their COBOL language programs) thus creating the Y2K crisis for the distant future in their terms.

The Y2K crisis absorbed all the programming oxygen in the computer world. The magical ascent of just about all computer based stocks each quarter then leveled off with the total exhaustion of successfully solving the Y2K crisis. In the second quarter of the year 2000 the computer stocks did not perform spectacularly. Given the investor assumptions these stocks were magical gold, when the quarterly results were signaled to be bad and then announced in early April, the NASDAQ exchange plummeted and stayed down. Cf: Wiki: The "dot-com bubble” was a speculative bubble covering roughly 1995–2000 (with a climax on March 10, 2000 with the NASDAQ peaking at 5132.52 in intraday trading before closing at 5048.62). The Stock Market Crash of 2000-2002 caused the loss of $5 trillion in the market value of companies from March 2000 to October 2002).

The other great event of the year 2000 was the unprecedented, cynical Presidential campaign of George W. Bush. Al Gore's campaign was hamstrung from the very beginning,from his acceptance of the Democratic party's nomination during the only 20 minutes that week when the Moon was Void of Course. No candidate has ever won a Presidential election who was nominated during a void of course moon.

In Al Gore's case it took a great deal of effort by his feckless campaign, the totally cynical and corrupt Bush campaign and the inherently evil influence of his father, Pres. George H.W.Bush and his appointees to the Supreme Court to come up with the Bush v. Gore decision and put the younger Bush into the Oval Office although it later turned out he lost the popular vote both in the State of Florida as well as in the nation overall. You don't ignore the limitations of the Void of Course mood and succeed. Therefore an app to tell you when the mood is going to be and is void of course is included in this page. There is even some explanation of what the term Moon Void of Course means, and the like.

Kegan Consulting Explores Meaning
From New Perspectives Upon Universals

No one yet knows the true import of this new timing, we are still in the early years, like the sinking of the Titanic in the time after 1901 and before WWI, when the old ways are wrecked but the new insights have not yet begun. Some just call this the post post-modern or use the current political label (following Gwen Ifil's book) THE AGE OF OBAMA.

Not even President Barack Obama himself shows any inkling of how totally different the reality of America will be in the 2010's from anything known in the "modern" millennium C.E.1001 to 2000. The only certainty looking forward is that what was solid and dependable over the last century or more is now longer relevant at all any more. His task will be to shepherd the crowded lifeboats of the Titanic shipwreck of the post-20th century for their survival and efforts to return safely back to the American Homeland.

Timing Analogs come in many forms, and Dr. Kegan has developed a number of novel forms for Kegan Consulting insights and advice. These are revolutionary departures from the denial of any study of timing, especially horoscopes, in traditional universities.

'Modern' Science grew out of the medieval Scholastic translation of the Books of Aristotle as the Sciences of their university curriculum (Latin word scientia translates to Book, knowledge or "Science"). Timing was believed to be solely belonging to the Divine, so only probability or random events could be studied in medieval Scholastic science.

Kegan Consulting is founded upon these new insights into timing analogs such as reformulating the traditional horoscope through the ladder technique of Marc Edmund Jones to produce the X-Ray Eye snapshot of a day in terms of how it feels, expressed in simple phrases such as 'Nothing Below the Waist' for George W. Bush43 and his inability to form working relationships with anyone.

When applied to daily moods and events, the X-Ray Eye of Kegan Consulting becomes the Tao Smithy Absolute (like the Dow Jones Average)which describes the mood and feelings of the general public and the markets. There are many conflicting explanations for any day's market actions; however, the meaning of the day is the realm of the Tao Smithy Absolute and Kegan Consulting's slogan: Analysis >> Clarity >> Results.

The Tao Smithy Absolute showed all the planets at the diaphragm of the Galactic Woman or "Only a Punch at the Gut" for election Day 1980 when the deadlock in release of our hostages in Tehran, produced an overwhelming landslide for Reagan. As Dr. Kegan described on a local radio show in October, the winner of the election would be determined totally and only by the headlines the weekend before.

Had those headlines been about Reagan's warlike attitudes or as we now know, his campaign operatives' secret offer of a deal involving oil, weapons and Iranian frozen assets for assurances the hostages (U.S. Embassy personnel)would NOT be released before the election in November, Carter would have won the great landslide.

The election dirty tricks worked a bit too well and the hostages were not released until Reagan was inaugurated and an era of big deals and wild intrigue was launched. This included the covert operations costing billions of taxpayer dollars to arm, train, and inspire the pious Saudi Muslim from a well-connected family, Osama Bin Laden.

He had gone to Afghanistan to maintain a registry (called al Queda in Arabic) of fighters so their families could be notified in the event of their deaths so their families could fulfill Muslim religious obligations. Again, their efforts were too successful and the attacks of September 11th 2001 were set in motion as just one more unintended consequence of short-sighted Conservative non-thinking and unbridled covert operations.

A landslide was the only available election result in 1980, which candidate would win by that margin was all that was up for grabs. The polling by both the Reagan and Carter campaigns found a dead heat in candidate preference amongst the American voters 49% for Carter to 49% for Reagan from the weekend before the election right through Election Day 1980. The Iran-Contra conspirators grabbed the headlines and the rest is history.

Had the Carter campaign known that only the headlines that weekend mattered and invested in raising questions about what mischief Reagan would have plunged America into as President, it would have been a Carter landslide and Osama Bin Laden and his al Queda would not have been set up through CIA covert operations, training and support to believe they were a great army to expand their horizons to grow into the 9/11 attacks.

Under Big Bang Theory insights of Dr. Kegan, gravity is the dynamic expression of the continuing expansion of the universe which generated the solar system as a single, flat cloud of primordial debris that settled out according to dynamic principles that created the planets as part of a harmonic system that can be tracked through the observed relative geometry of the planets through the Zodiac.

This overall insight that the unnoticed context of all human activity is related to the complex dynamics and angular momentum of the expanding Universe of the Big Bang underlies two sets of timing analogs. One is based in Sabian Astrology of Marc Edmund Jones that gave rise to the X-Ray Eye chart and the Tao Smithy Absolute analysis of federal Election Days and other important dates.

Another Kegan Consulting timing analog is the Pythagorean Computer, also known as common dice cubes.The instantaneous state of that total dynamic can be measured by casting a pair of dice. The dice cubes were developed by Pythagoras to express his fundamental insights. They now can also be used to explain all of astrology and the principles of the I Ching or Flux Tome hexagrams.

The ancient I Ching of 2200 B.C.E. established the 64 hexagrams --all the possible 6-place binary figures of two line values. These were traditionally arranged in a sine wave like pattern as a binary counter from 0 to 63. These concepts which remain the framework of 'modern' physics and computer science became obsolete in China in 1100 B.C.E.

The new arrangement in terms of the meaning and philosophy associated with the hexagrams gave rise to the innovation of the King Wen Sequence which Dr. Kegan is the first to explain in terms of the numbering and fundamental principles of the Monad, Dyad, Triad, and Tetrad which are seen in both the Pythagorean Tetraktys and the Chinese Taiji or Yin/Yang symbol.

The Age of the Economic and Military Dinosaurs is being replaced by the new mammals of the Internet. The ancient rules of survival yet apply: Adapt, find a protected niche to hide in, or die out! The changes begin within each of us and they end with the demand that peace reigns for all. No Justice No Peace and without peace no one does well.

The Moon VOID tab will give you the Green Light signal that the Moon is in its normal mode allowing events to unfold as expected.

The RED LIGHT indicates that the MOON IS VOID OF COURSE meaning it is the time after the moon has formed all of its major relationships to all ten Planets and it has left its tracking until it changes sign. When the Moon is off its rails and running a bit wild unexpected things may happen.

When the Moon is Void of Course (V/C) things may seem to run per routine, but anything done during these times will not turn out right in the long run. Conditions later will prevent any good result. Agreements reached in these times will fall apart when the Moon returns to normal functioning. Official papers to be filed with the Moon V/C either will not get filed or their filing will go terribly awry.

A Yellow light warning is included to give you time to complete necessary business and prepare for the lunar vacation of the V/C Moon. What should one do during the V/C moon? Plan, prepare documents to be delivered when the moon is back on track or anything else that does not require hard commitments or objective responses from other people.

The stop lights change eventually, though not at the moment the moon goes v/c or crosses into the next sign. The times printed on the page are correct. Mine is in NV time.
