Race 2008 Can Either Ron Paul Or
Barack Obama Be the Lion Tamer the Nation Yearns For?

The race 2008 for the Republican and Democratic nomination is taking some strange turns in November 2007 through Super Tuesday in Feb 2008. Ron Paul is the perfect vehicle for Republicans to voice their discontent with the Bush43 warmongering, incompetence, and corruption. Barack embodies the hopes of youth and those eager to see the problems of prior generations left behind by a new generation.

Neither one expresses the solid core of their party. Barack has the additional problem that he never quite lives up to the expectations for him. He isn’t a totally new entity and courageous master iconoclast of the entire entrenched Establishment. Ron Paul would upset Republican tradition and foreign policy like no other candidate ever.

Race 2008 will take a number of turns between Thanksgiving 2007 and the numerous primaries of Super Tuesday, 5 February 2008. Race 2008 can not determine the outcome of the final election of November 2008--but then after February 5th 2008 it will be a new and very different political world none of us have seen before.

But this is the view in 2007 for what will be the traditional race 2008 for the nomination in the traditional manner for just the next election after 2004.

The planetary connections of the candidates and the National Birth chart will also make for extra intensity that has no logical explanation. Let me just lay out some of the astrological facts and we shall see how these fit into what plays out in the media over the time period.

There is no published birth time for either Ron Paul or Barack Obama. This makes the X-Ray Eye horoscope technique ideal since it does not use houses or the ascendant that changes degree position every four minutes. The moon position is therefore imprecise since the moon moves up to 14 degrees each day.

The current Saturn position is further highlighting both their charts. Ron Paul has his closest aspect, Mercury Rx opposite Saturn Rx with his natal Saturn opposite to transiting Saturn now and through its retrograde station in mid December.

These two unlikely candidates at the beginning of 2007 will be the major talk of the media at the end of 2007 and going into the major primaries of early 2008. Will either of them be likely to achieve their party nomination to be President of the U.S. for the election in November?

Race 2008: the candidates which are surging now are Ron Paul for the Republicans and Barack Obama for the Democrats. Both have strong connections to the American national spirit through two planetary connections to the birth chart of the nation. Both candidates share one connection: Neptune in the degree of the Lion Tamer Performing for the Crowd (23 Virgo).

Both Barack Obama’s natal Mars and Ron Paul’s natal Venus are closer than 30 minutes of arc to each other and the Neptune position of the Declaration of Independence. This makes them each an expression of the deepest mysterious attachment of the American people to their proud champion of their ultimate ideals.

Ron Paul with the Venus-Neptune connection simply needs to be the defiant lion tamer seeking what America loves. Barack Obama with the Mars-Neptune connection must deliver in action the courageous example for the nation. For Barack, his performance highlights he is a young and cautious man which contrasts badly with the Lion Tamer expectation. Ron Paul is old and eccentric quite easily able to fully fulfill the Lion Tamer expectation of him as ultimate libertarian.

Race 2008 holds another intriguing connection between Barack Obama and Ron Paul. They each have a major planet being transited by Saturn in November 2007. For Barack it is Pluto in the 7th degree of Virgo or his ultimate commitment to detailed expression in the style of an Oriental Harem. For Ron Paul it is his closest aspect, Mercury (8th degree Virgo) opposite Saturn Rx in the 8th degree of Pisces.

Race 2008 will take some interesting turns with other transit events. Saturn passes beyond the 1 degree connection to Barack’s Pluto on November 24th, the day that Uranus has its station direct. As the sudden changes of Uranus return in the degree of the weary war campaigner we can expect Barack to remain with his harem.

For Ron Paul Mercury is a degree later than Barack’s, he shares the current Saturn degree whose Flux Tome equivalent is a big wagon fully loaded [Sabian Symbol a first dancing lesson]in closest opposition to his natal Saturn in the degree of a girl scout blowing a bugle. This connection continues through the Saturn station 18 December (9th Virgo Futuristic drawing)and on past the massive primaries of 5 February 2008.

Race 2008 will see Barack and Ron Paul as the odd couple rising in the campaign horse race. Barack is being caught between his personal limitations and the glorious expectations of him. He is becoming the darling young man, who would be great when he grows into the mighty lion tamer he is talking about.

Ron Paul is finding that his time has come and is being buoyed by his public. As the rest of the Republican field find themselves brought down by Bush43 moving forward on his plan for permanent war in Iraq and elsewhere, Ron Paul rises as the one old-time voice of traditional Republican values.

From November 2007-mid February 2008 very different things can be expected from the Democrats and Republicans in Race 2008. Barack will sharpen the issues that will come up in the general election, but not be able to capitalize much upon them. Ron Paul will bring a real choice on the Republican side in terms of following Bush43 over the cliff of his Crusader war or turning away to more limited government.

Race 2008 is now in its teaser phase with spoilers coming to the fore and making the media dreams come true of a horse race to call play-by-play. Therefore, it becomes important to take some time to go over the horoscope analysis of our two new contenders for the Presidential nominations of their party.

Barack Obama has a clear Bucket temperament type with nine of his planets on the outside within the opposition of Mercury and Jupiter (closest aspect of the chart). The Moon is in high focus as the handle to this bucket, singleton inside in Taurus. Without an exact birth time there can not be an exact degree for the moon. Also, being inside the moon influence is not that apparent to the rest of the world.

What is clearly apparent is the focus inside above the waist, or who he is in his own terms and what it means to Barack to be himself. His Race 2008 campaign is a challenge to him to realize what matters to him and who he feels himself to be in his own terms. In a recent interview Barack mentioned that he is most aware of how his campaigning is taking him away from his little girls during their vitally important early years.

The Saturn position shows where one is brought to feel the limitations of one’s situation. For Barack, his Saturn is retrograde (turned inward) in the 26th degree of Capricorn which is the structure of Homing in Flux Tome and the Sabian Symbol of the water sprite dancing alone far from human interference. His Sun degree (13 Leo) also highlights a desire for personal freedom.

In terms of Race 2008, Barack has his Venus touching the U.S. National Venus, although in a different Sabian Symbol degree. The U.S. desire is (3 Cancer) the man bundled in furs leading a shaggy reindeer through difficult terrain. The Barack Venus is a desire (2 Cancer)to ride a magic carpet high above the terrain below. His Mars shares the degree of the National Neptune, but its image is the lion tamer delighting the crowd with his daring performance.

Race 2008 picked Barack to be the dream candidate. It was not his driving desire to campaign for the office. He is learning what truly matters to him in the Race 2008 process. Who he is and what is happening in his campaign will clarify itself after Super Tuesday, 2008 when the traditional campaign for the nomination should be finished.

Note from late February 2008. Barack did indeed lose the traditional campaign of race 2008, but its a new reality with Pluto now in Capricorn, or at least upon the cusp in the minutes after 30 Sagittarius. Also starting the very next day after Super Tuesday was a Solar eclipse upon the degree of the Moon of the U.S. Declaration of Independence chart.

The campaign has taken a turn and all these comments are now historical as race 2008 is eclipsed by the great transition of selection of the the next President for January 20th, 2009. Barack Obama's X-Ray Eye is even up in the air. He has one planet on the cusp between Capricorn and Aquarius, and only one other planet, his moon between Aquarius and Cancer. So, his natal oracle can change in the new atmosphere of 2008 post Super Tuesday.

Ron Paul is a totally different candidate from a different generation coming to Race 2008 as the standard bearer of a different conservative Republican reality. His horoscope temperament type is a seesaw established by the two oppositions. First, natal Mercury opposing natal Saturn Rx, closest aspect of the chart in the 8th degree of Pisces—Virgo is being hit by transiting Saturn November 2007- February 2008. This is what will be creating the buzz November-February.

The second opposition is Uranus Rx to Mars conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio. This gives Ron Paul a natural disposition of negative cardinal emphasis. He also has only Pluto in a cardinal sign (Cancer), no planets in air signs and only the sun in Leo for fire signs. All the planets inside that can go retrograde are in his chart. All of which gives Ron Paul a true maverick reality.

His natal Oracle is Lady Luck >>>Streaks and with his Venus in the same degree as the National Neptune, he can easily be seen as the Lion Tamer out to bring the dogs of war and the excesses of corruption and incompetence to stop and take proper direction. Ron Paul will be the candidate to watch in Race 2008 through the primaries.
