Stars-n-Dice perspective: From the Starry Dome Above through YOUR living Palm To the dice patterns you cast.

Stars-n-Dice perspective connects YOU as unique center of the twin circles of the Cosmos objectively around you and the personal universe within YOU. Using tumbling dice cubes to represent the reality of the Big Bang universe symbolically connects these two great circles into YOUR subjective Cosmos.
Subjectively, we are a unique reality connecting the entire universe of inner symbolism and outer existence in our own personal experience. This is the stars-n-dice perspective of personal achievement and individual freedom. It has never been appreciated in the military empires which developed with fortified cities and regulated armies in the fields of war and agriculture. However, it is the only perspective that survives and continues millennium after millennium.
The universe we live in is a vast swirling starburst from an unexplained Big Bang. Its true tumbling perspective with explosive fragments in continuing flight from that original explosion has only a few known constants. One is that over millions of years this flux of molecules became the regular and connected clumps of our Milky Way galaxy and the even more unified cloud that settled into our Solar System with planets forming at regular intervals representing the results of the wave process of this rotating pancake of celestial matter.
The hallmark of the now defunct Modern millennium was the notion that our Earth was the fixed center of a simple Cosmos. This notion was built of two totally erroneous scientific myths. The first that Aristotle described this celestial architecture by a set of crystal spheres revolving about our fixed Terra Firma of Planet Earth. The second, which still thought in terms of Aristotle’s Crystal Spheres, was the superstition of Newton that motion of celestial bodies was controlled by an objective Force called “gravity.” Even Newton was aware this didn’t make sense, but it couldn’t think of any other explanation.
It is only with the end of the Modern millennium and the acceptance of Big Bang Theory that it became possible to see through even Einstein’s illogical attempts to hold on to the structure of both Aristotle and Newton. The Revolutionary insight is that the Universe is not only in constant Flux, but even our Solar System is tumbling through space without any clear structure or central focus. This is the portal to the stars-n-dice perspective-- the dice cubes, the stars & planets, and each of us is tumbling like Alice down the rabbit hole.
All our astronomical observations and mapping can only reveal temporary relationships amongst the exploded fragments. However, although the notion of Terra Firma Planet Earth is obsolete, there are regular rhythms and tides to this vast ocean of Exploding Space which is our Solar System. Astrology is simply the mapping of those timing tides for use in navigating our voyage upon the great ocean of the experienced universe.
In order to obtain immediate and exact measure of what is happening in this timing milieu one must use symbolic objects that are set free to tumble along with all the rest of the local molecules of a specific place and time. From Pythagorean times, the simplest and most reliable of these measuring instruments has been a pair of dice. The six-faced cubes with the Pythagorean Eidos or number symbolism are an elegant scientific instrument to determine exactly the timing pattern of this moment here-and-now in the Stars-n-Dice perspective.
Dice cubes have been used for millennia in all sorts of exciting games exactly because they have the capacity to show the number which would be the most precise to describe the game situation at each player’s turn. There are many game pieces that are used to render variable number outcomes; however, good players of all games find tumbling the dice cubes the most personally satisfying way to play their games.
As the workings of the dice cubes could not be claimed as part of the new religious beliefs of the Great Age of Pisces, they were decried as evil or at least sinful, and their logical study prohibited. The power of the dice cubes is such that they remain the standard example in modern science and mathematics though today they must be sanitized as being meaningless probability engines rather than the exact measuring instrument of the immediate timing rhythm.
The great challenge of this new and barely understood millennium after the Modern is to break free of the blinders and intellectual shackles of Aristotle, St. Thomas Aquinas, Newton, Einstein and their ilk to finally look upon the natural world with fresh eyes and see what has been clearly before us but ignored, misinterpreted, and hidden under official classroom brainwashing for at least the last 10 or 20 centuries.
Today, we are all on the uncomfortable border boundary between the resistance of the prior System and the developing strands of the newly emerging Great Age and Postmodern millennium. How long we straddle this borderland as well as how much bloody tumult and loss is required is the only remaining question to resolve.
Stars-n-Dice perspective began for me with my accidental discovery that the number dot-patterns on dice cubes were Pythagorean eidos which were archetypes of natural development sequence. These simple numbers were infinitely richer and more complex than our arbitrary number line thinking and understanding.
Stars-n-Dice perspective began for me with my accidental discovery that the number dot-patterns on dice cubes were Pythagorean eidos which were archetypes of natural development sequence. These simple numbers were infinitely richer and more complex than our arbitrary number line thinking and understanding.
My first discovery of the power of the Stars-n-Dice perspective came when I began to use the dot-patterns to represent the 12 signs of the Zodiac starting with the first sign Aries. These eidos patterns explained the sequence of the signs and gave in-depth illustration of the meaning of each sign in a manner that transcended the usual verbal confusion that mires discussion in any group of astrologers.
When I extended my illustration and explanation of the meaning of the Zodiac signs to include the Planets, Houses, aspects and orbs of horoscopy I began to twig to the notion that there was something very special unfolding through this novel Stars-n-Dice perspective.
Review the Stars and Dice Book of 1984
Stars-n-dice perspective highlights the complete range of personal growth available through the personal exploration of the integration of the Macrocosm/Microcosm. The traditional aphorism: ‘As Above So Below’ indicates only that various symbolic timing analogs seek to map the patterns and relationships experienced through observation of the regular motions in the Heavens over us all.
Living out in the natural world; experiencing the Sun rising and setting differently each day; lying out under the Starry Dome of the fixed stars which also rise and set differently each night; watching the Moon and wandering Stars (visible planets) both rising and setting as well as changing their relative positions through the narrow band of the ecliptic severely inclined to the horizon; gives anyone (or everyone that bothers to notice) the experience of our living upon a swirling, tumbling, hurtling drop of the Milky Way galaxy in its consistent voyage from the Big Bang through today and on into the Unknown beyond.
Putting YOU yourself into the center of the stars-n-dice perspective
The stars-n-dice perspective is a novel version of the traditional perspective of the Macrocosm and the Microcosm. The macrocosm is the traditional term for the blue dome over our heads with its sun, stars and planets rising and setting and changing relationships all the time. The microcosm is the term for the symbolic maps and timing analogs used to keep track of these celestial relationships and relate them to human experience. The Stars-n-Dice perspective begins when YOU as independent center of your perspective own conscious universe of personal understanding begin to relate, equate and learn from the interaction of the macrocosm all around you and the microcosm of symbolic techniques at your disposal.
The entire point and purpose of the universal awareness taught from the 6th century BCE based upon the work of Pythagoras and the Stars-n-Dice perspective can only make sense as it sets free YOUR personal sense of your power and importance as a conscious child of the global Father Sun and Mother Earth. It is as YOU can use these techniques and your own observations to set yourself free from the cloistered classroom and rigid Scholastic nonsense of the modern and academic.
The macrocosm is reflected in the microcosm, however the mirror that demonstrates that reflection is YOU as conscious, Divine, independent being. Becoming adult takes time and more than just the possession of any technique or object. Putting a pair of dice in YOUR palm to cast the Stars-n-Dice perspective oracle is just a beginning step.
Another early step is to make some acquaintance with the other communities of Stars-n-Dice perspective alternatives involving the many details and insights of the astrological horoscope. Astrologers’ conventions can easily involve thousands of folks, almost none of which agree about much of anything while they all agree on the power and importance of astrology and horoscope analysis.
Stars-n-Dice perspective, especially the Pythagorean eidos on the dice cube can help to illustrate and explain the underlying unity of understanding being lost in the Tower of Babel misunderstanding of conflicting jargon and opposing styles. It is not often possible to settle convention arguments through the dice face eidos illustrations, but it often allows YOU to understand which fragments of the elephant each of the arguing astrologers are grabbing a hold of and ignoring all the others.
Stars-n-Dice perspective grows with YOUR personal insight into your power to find answers to your questions and apply them to situation you care about. It is about learning to jump back and forth between simple symbolism and complex living experience. It is a personal adventure that depends not so much on the technique used as the experience of abstracting from events and concerns the symbolic patterns to map and guide YOUR understanding.
Part of this Stars-n-Dice perspective involves the realization that YOU have the ability to develop psychic insights and make YOUR own psychic readings. By being on the front lines, inside YOUR mind as this happens you learn and realize what is going on, what such oracles mean and what they cannot magically accomplish.
Learn to be YOUR own psychic clairvoyant NOW!
Becoming familiar with the various Oracle techniques and communities of those using them is the next step in the Stars-n-Dice perspective—finding your own inner turf to explore and understand in light of the objective techniques and human communities of other seekers.
Stars-n-Dice perspective requires that you stake out the boundary points of your own inner space and develop your personal skills within those subjective arts. The Oracle of the I Ching hexagrams has a long and venerable tradition in both Chinese and English. An introduction to creating your own I Ching oracle by just thinking of two natural numbers, 1 to 64 inclusive is described as part of becoming your own psychic clairvoyant.
Once you have explored that step within the inner space of YOUR own mind. It is a progressive development of the Stars-n-Dice perspective to take a step back and let the physical objects of the microcosm do the detailed work of choosing your Oracle. As you become more familiar with the 64 hexagrams and their line patterns it is ever more difficult to be comfortable with a mental choice of two numbers as an effective oracle.
Give the Cosmic its due and a little private space as YOU advance in your own Stars-n-Dice perspective. Insights into the Taoist I Ching of Gia-Fu Feng and the structural relevant process analysis of the Flux Tome hexagrams and Oracle are available through those buttons on the Nav Bar in the left-hand margin above.
Some things must be done on one’s own through your own inner stars-n-dice perspective. The Stars-n-Dice perspective is simply a means of looking at traditional subjective metaphysics through the new eyes of a tumbling universe of Big Bang debris and timing waves and tides like a Cosmic Ocean. It is a challenge to give up the Terra Firma certainties and assumed objective observations for the far more uncertain maritime notions where we are each our own ship upon mysterious yet understandable waters.
There are many traditional sources about I Ching and Astrology. Their usefulness is limited by their assumptions and ideological limitations. The true understanding of these related systems requires the personal subjective quest of each individual in their own way. The only realization we can share, especially in an objective medium such as these web pages, is that all the details and traditional expectations studied over the millennia are just background material for your own new and unique discoveries.
Learning about traditional astrology can begin with Sabian Astrology and the neo-Pythagorean insights of Marc Edmund Jones. An introduction is available through the Sabian Astrology button on the Nav Bar. The horoscope is a complete universe of study and understanding which can usefully occupy many years of personal involvement. Learning horoscope technique is useful and important in the Stars-n-Dice perspective.
Maintaining your own personal independence of spirit and insight—the Solar Portal of the Eternal Mysteries—is not something any other mortal can truly teach you, especially if they claim they can. Learning to work with the myriad details of horoscope analysis and interpretation is a universe unto itself. Some inkling of how one might apply horoscope insights to explain current national events will be found through the U.S. Presidential Election’08 button on the Nav Bar.
All insight through the Stars-n-Dice perspective involves finding the inner skeleton of meaning illustrated by the use of the technique. The U.S. Presidential Election materials use ( the X-Ray Eye technique to literally X-Ray the meaning of a specific day. Further detailed comments of this perspective can be found in the various batches of the Stars-n-Dice perspective Ezine called Fresh Rolls, the sign up is the election ’08 page and back issues are archived.
Stars-n-Dice Perspective integrates the dot-number patterns of the dice cube with both astrology and the I Ching. Traditional horoscope astrology is based upon the geometry of the circle. The signs are organized as first (Aries) to 12th (Pisces) around the circumference of a 360-degree Zodiac circle. Throw in planets, houses, aspects, and rulerships-- just as basics and the details of astrology become myriad and the basic horoscope requires the specific time and location of the event being studied, such as your birth. Just learning to cast the chart or figure out the overall organizing principle to return to the simple, single focus of the matter is a long learning process. The essence of the Stars-n-Dice perspective is that the key to understanding and integrating everything is found with the Dice cube. Along with the dice oracle in astrological terms, and the insights from the dice cube to explain the simple essence of the I Ching (Flux Tome), there is also the integration of Yi Oracles and Zodiac horoscopes called the X-Ray Eye. This is a simplified horoscope technique that uses the human body symbolism instead of the 360-degree circle. It arises from an insight by Marc Edmund Jones called the Ladder technique. In the ladder, the Zodiac circle is molded around the model of the human body, with the ruling planets in solar system order placed down the middle along the spine. No exact time or location is required. This is a horoscope technique based solely upon what planets are in which signs at the time being analyzed. The technique is further simplified by grouping the 12 Zodiac signs into 6 areas arranged according to the positions on the dice cube. This also allows this X-Ray Eye technique to produce an astrological I Ching Oracle with every chart. The result is a powerful horoscope technique that usually can be applied to an entire day rather than just some specific time and location. It integrates astrology chart and I Ching Oracle and Dice Cube patterns into a single gestalt form. The X-Ray Eye technique can be used as a sight scope to focus the disparate details of a horoscope. It can be used to bridge astrological and I Ching perspectives. Ultimately, it is its own novel addition to the analysis of Timing. For a detailed description of the X-Ray Eye technique and the explanation of how and why astrology and the I Ching work as symbol systems capable of answering questions and revealing personal meaning…

Some inkling of how one might apply horoscope insights to explain current national events will be found through the U.S. Presidential Election’08 button on the Nav Bar. There is the astrological interpretation of the events of this 2008 campaign, giving meaning to the various twists and turns that have so deviled and confused the pundits and their polling. There are astrological analysis pages on various presidential candidates, and Pres. Bush43. Also, there is a page of analysis of the astrology of the U.S. Declaration of Independence whereby Thomas Jefferson, by himself, invented the American Democracy and established a number of our ongoing challenges and potentials. The U.S. Constitution set the calendar for all Federal Election Days, thus established the meaning of every election. The page describing the recent Presidential elections from November 1980 to 2008 shows the narrative of American politics. The election of 1980 is the most striking, where the landslide outcome was clearly indicated in the chart, but not which candidate would win by that landslide. It was all dependent upon the news headlines of the weekend before the election itself. The other major development looming with this next election is the entry of Pluto into a new sign, Capricorn for the inauguration of our next President. A page of analysis of what major events have shaken the world as Pluto enters a new sign gives some insight into what to expect next year. We are in a new century, millennium, and Great Age, though everyone is still thinking this is just the 21st century extension of the modern and futuristic 20th century. More realistically, it is the first decade of these totally different new timing, which we view only vaguely as what comes after the postmodern. As the old timing of the Modern Millennium disappears in the Climate Crisis and the fallout of the conservative tunnel vision and denial for the Bush43 debacle, it may be comforting to realize solutions were developed in the Ancient Global Awareness of the 6th century BCE. There is still the problem of solving the problem Crusader invasion and general destruction. Hopefully, the Climate Crisis will bring the awareness that we are all mariners upon a very tempest tossed ocean of Planetary Timing and the insights of the ancient maritime law will overcome the arrogance of land armies with artillery thinking. The U.S. Presidential Election materials use the X-Ray Eye technique to literally X-Ray the meaning of a specific day. Further detailed comments on the ongoing process of this political campaign are published the web site Ezine called Fresh Rolls (of stars-n-DICE), the sign up is on the election ’08 and again on the Kegan Consulting page and back issues are archived. Whatever is the situation for the planet, the focus of all feeling, understanding and meaning remains inside our own subjectivity which is the key to the stars-n-dice perspective.
Becoming YOUR Own independent Adult-- the Stars-n-Dice perspective of unique personal growth
As YOU live and work within the boundaries of YOUR own private turf or Inner Space, the process that begins the growth beyond the fourth Piaget stage (formal operations of the University student—still in the academic cloistered classroom) is launched. This initiation of independent adulthood traditionally takes at least a decade of calendar time.
Each person has their own unique Stars-n-Dice perspective. If you are particularly adept and have exceptional access to mentors and materials, this does not at all mean you can cut corners and achieve early initiation in less than 10 years. What happens is that after that complete cycle of 10 years YOU will enjoy a far deeper, richer and more exquisite independent adult reality.
Ten years seems impossibly long when you first complete perhaps one or two of YOUR best Stars-n-Dice perspective. Completing the first decade can bring some delightful though subtle indications of your achievement. But as the decades upon the path and the multiples of 7-year spans accumulate, comes the realization that getting farther down the Way is not nearly as important as fully and completely enjoying each step with its unique vistas and opportunities.
Stars-n-Dice perspective begins as you get involved and then the Cosmic and Divine will speak to you directly and chart your unique personal growth process. The impressive and magical special effects of the Inner world can never compete with the million dollar illusions of Industrial Light and Magic. The subtle details that can easily be dismissed as coincidence or random events; however, you notice them as exactly and exquisitely expressing YOUR special relationship to the Divine and the transcendent makes any stage illusion or movie special effect pale into insignificance.
Stars-n-Dice perspective comes to flower in the seed pod of what YOU share with others!
There is a fundamental limit of what you can achieve in YOUR own mind and for your own benefit. Stars-n-Dice perspective once started leads on through your own adulthood and personal understanding toward the parental perspective of the Community Elder and Teacher. The world of the academic and modern is quickly collapsing in light of this new millennium and even new Great Age (The Age of Aquarius is upon us, with its first harbinger being the impending Climate Crisis demanding folks think about letting go of the antique and Obsolete thinking of the Roman Empire and Dark Ages.)
Just turning the page to get away from everything older than yourself, hoping the new background or Tao (Trail of Context) will be pure enough and clear enough for you to make your mark forgets that YOU are the conscious center of YOUR Universe. To notice anything you must first clear away the rubble and extraneous marks to create a clear and contrasting blank background.
Being able to perceive your Self is a long and difficult process of discovery that takes all of one's childhood, adolescence and early adulthood. Being able to appreciate what it means to be an independent and free person requires even more. Developing a clear sense of one's own Center as the organizing principle of your adulthood is a major achievement. Beyond that purely individual maturity, comes the special considerations and embellishments of Self that can only begin as you move on from personal center to become the parent, teacher, mentor of others junior to yourself. The beginning of maturity is the realization that it is only as you are able to assist in their becoming their own fully independent free adults that you can consider yourself to have completed your education and early development. Everything that can be perceived is controlled by the 'blank' background that allows it to stand out in sharp contrast. The power of the unnoticed background or context is without limit as long as it isn't considered. The notion of an underlying, universal context is the concept of the Tao of Chinese philosophy.

Next YOU must understand the fundamental principles and perspectives of our ancient heritage before the nonsense of the modern academic and Crusader adventures crashed across the globe. Stars-n-Dice perspective must grow beyond the ancient thesis of the Unified Global Awareness of Pythagoras and the sages of the 6th century BCE. This new millennium requires a synthesis that understands and appreciates the ancient thesis, solves the terrible problems of the modern, academic and Crusader antithesis of the prior millennium, and moves on into the unknown future.
The outlines of what must be changed and reviewed can be explored through the Postmodern Science and/or the Global Solution buttons on the Nav Bar. The way ahead belongs to the YOU-Th who are the future’s ambassadors to this current time and place. They will have to absorb what they can of their elders prior experience, start their own Stars-n-Dice perspective to become independent adults with their own Cosmic understanding, and face the NEXT with their own courage and insight.
Stars-n-Dice perspective can be illustrated in the narrative of Taoist translation of the I Ching in Gia-Fu Feng’s Stillpoint Foundation of the early 1970’s when Pluto entered Libra available through the Taoist I Ching button on the Nav Bar. This is a glimpse of the New Age insights that developed along side of the Watergate hearings of that time.
Stars-n-Dice perspective can be illustrated by the Flux Tome perspective available through that Nav Bar button as well. That insight began some years later and was first published in my I Ching Primer which was written under the close and visually striking conjunction of Venus next to the crescent moon, rarely seen since it inspired Mohammed to write his Koran.
Stars-n-Dice perspective can be further studied and its principles summarized in the explanation of the Pythagorean Tetraktys. The application of the Tetraktys principles to the detailed explanation of the first ten hexagrams of the I Ching in the King Wen sequence, and the more general notes on each of the 64 hexagram in Tetraktys terms is its own web page on this site available through the Science paradigms button on the Nav Bar and through this text link.

Obsolete ‘Modern’ and ‘academic’ cloistered tunnel vision becomes ridiculous when viewed by free adults!
Stars-n-Dice perspective is an alternative world view available to anyone and everyone who bothers to watch the world around them and set sail upon the Cosmic Ocean of Timing in their own bodily vessel of Self discovery. To begin with there is a need to cut free of the anchor chain tying YOU to the obsolete nonsense of your academic classroom. You can explore these insights through the Science is Magic! Anyone who watches a vertical stick at various times of day has access to the stars-n-dice perspective to measure these complex and varying motions. When the Sun passes directly overhead, the shadow of that stick will be its shortest, point exactly toward the geographical pole of the Planet Earth, and be inclined at the precise angle of the local latitude.
Watching when the Sun and Moon line up in the ecliptic at the moment of the full Moon clearly indicates by the shadow of the Planet Earth cast by the Sun across the face of the Moon, that the Planet Earth is a globe and not at all flat.
Observing the daily motion of the visible Planets it is clear that the moon is closest to the Earth, and the Planets from Mercury to Venus to Mars to Jupiter to Saturn are in orbit in exactly that order. Noticing that the Sun and Moon always continue in the same direction while all the others at times appear to stop in their course and turn backwards (go retrograde) and then return forward indicates clearly that the planets that go retrograde must sometimes be on the other side of their orbital path from the Planet Earth.
Watching partial eclipses makes it clear that the Planet Earth is considerably smaller than the Sun, and larger than the Moon. Therefore it is simple logic that the much larger Sun is the center of the Solar System and the moon is the only celestial body that circles the Planet Earth. However, to draw such a conclusion requires observing the Starry Skies and having an open mind about what one observes.
Pythagoras clearly was aware of these obvious facts, though the problem of how folks would survive on the bottom half of a Planet Earth Globe or stay in place on a rotating Globe, and the difficulty of watching the Sun rise and set each day yet noting it was actually the Earth spinning about led to the traditional simplification of the fixed, static Planet Earth with the Sun and Planets supported by crystal spheres turning above our Earth.
This vision of a fixed Terra Firma Planet Earth remains the worldview to this day. Copernicus discovered the mathematics of planetary motion is simpler with the Sun as center of the Solar System. However, as Thomas Kuhn notes in his book The Copernican Revolution every “modern” or “academic” astronomer or physicist from Copernicus to Newton to even Einstein still in their heart of hearts maintains the basic worldview of Aristotle (and Aquinas) that the Planet Earth is static and fixed while the other planets move as we see them rise and set.
Even Einstein’s notion of a limited universe can only be explained from a need to maintain the Cosmos as described in the 11th century by Ibn Gabirol: The feet of God’s throne in Heaven rest upon the top of the crystal sphere of the fixed stars. Einstein’s view of the Universe is obsolete with the end of the “modern” or Crusader millennium culminating at the end of the XXth century.
Newton’s notion that the Planet Earth would be traveling in a Euclidean straight line except for the force of gravity pulling it into its orbit about the Sun also makes no sense if the Planet Earth is swirling in continuous complex motion along with the rest of the Solar System hurtling along with the Milky Way galaxy together from the Big Bang.
Newton was well aware that the notion, still taught today in classrooms at all levels and believed my major Space agencies, that gravity is a force inherent in matter that acts throughout space, at a distance and without mechanical action is clearly medieval superstition. His famous Law of Gravity requires for its numerical calculation the unknown objective mass of the Earth and the Sun. The simpler explanation of gravity is just that any molecule lacking the precise angular momentum equal to g pointing always and all ways toward the center of the Planet Earth would have been left behind by the collection of clumped matter we now call Planet Earth billions of years ago.
The clearly observed path of the Planets within less than 10 degrees plus and minus of the ecliptic (the orbital path of the Moon about the Earth and the Earth about the Sun) is not explained by Newton’s Law of Gravity which would predict a Solar System like the Bohr atom that had planets at all angles about the Sun. It is only the notion of the swirling single mass from the Big Bang that spun a pancake of the solar system nebula that then formed the Sun and individual planets (and asteroids) at regular distances from one another as given by Bode’s Law.
Ptolemy wrote what is still the paradigm text of “modern academic” astronomy with its mythological constellations comprised solely of stars whose position observed from Alexandria in his time seemed to his imagination to fit illustrations of various myths. He was aware that the signs of astrology have no connection to this arbitrary fiction of the constellation.
Rather, astrology is based upon the cardinal points of the solstices and equinoxes determined from the celestial mechanics of the Earth within the Solar System and the inclination of the Planet Earth to its orbit. In his four books of Egyptian aphorisms about astrology (the Tetrabiblios in Greek) Ptolemy makes many silly and illogical statements, including the syllogism that the stars influence the weather, the weather influences people; therefore the stars influence people.
This gave rise to the nonsensical notion, believed only by Ptolemy paradigm fan club astronomers the astrology is based upon stellar influences emanating from stars and the planets. There is only one known stellar influence, it is called Sunshine. It does indeed control the Water Cycle and through the Water Cycle all life activity upon our Planet Earth. However, solar flux or anything having to do with sunshine or weather has no place in any horoscope ever.
Stars-n-Dice perspective involves understanding the Water Cycle and its symbolic mapping through the first 10 hexagrams of the I Ching. But that is a separate matter involved with understanding how the complex understanding of the Solar System celestial dynamics forms the unified Global Awareness that supports local diversity within a single human and planetary reality.
What we know as modern or academic arises from the Medieval Church University curriculum of cloister classroom instruction based upon the revealed Absolute Truth of the paradigm books in the officially established library and taught in the officially sanctioned interpretation. This system developed in the 13th century and was set in stone in the 14th century when the Black Death killed off so much of the population but left the libraries and their books completely intact.
Stars-n-Dice perspective continues the Unified Global Awareness of the 6th century BCE embodied in the insights still known from some of those of that era, Pythagoras, Lao Tzu, and the horoscope astrologers of the Fertile Crescent. There work was all denied and rejected by the cloistered Scholastic monks of the 13th century right through today.
Yet this perspective and the Stars-n-Dice perspective of initiation of the realization independent adult understanding has continued to be useful and current right up to this day. The starry dome above us remains available today to everyone, although the smog and other environmental disasters of modern technology have greater diminished the visibility of the stars or the ability of today’s youth to notice or observe the lessons of sun shadows and starry nights.
Instead, the modern academics continue their blind adherence to the paradigm library book fan clubs. Originally these paradigm books were the Christian mistranslations of the works of Plato as philosophy and Aristotle’s various books of elegant ancient Greek rhetoric as descriptions of all the various sciences.
Since the Black Death eliminated most of those familiar with the academic Church University, the books of the library became sacred paradigms. New books were added as paradigms as they established their best-seller status with a fan club of professional scientists relying upon these paradigms as their Bibles. Even in the 19th century, the major University objection to Lyle’s Geology was that it disagreed with the Anglican Church interpretation of Genesis and the total development of all mountains upon a single one of the Six Days of Creation.

Darwin was trained as an Anglican minister, though never ordained since he never accepted a post as parish vicar. He was well aware of the limits of Anglican Church doctrine in science. Natural selection was as unacceptable as the notion that mountains formed by natural processes over time. However, “evolution” was an Anglican Church term to explain why Queen Victoria lived a different lifestyle than King Solomon.
Darwin did not publish for several decades after his visit to the highlands of the Galapagos Islands combined with Malthus’ calculations that more offspring are born than can survive in natural habitat to create the logical conclusion that those who are least able to succeed in a habitat will die off without as many offspring as those who do succeed.
Darwin’s attempts to finesse his simple logic of natural selection by using the term “evolution” and Herbert Spencer’s Victorian Chauvinist slogan, ”survival of the fittest” (originally used to justify British Imperial conquest as Divine blessing since it worked)allowed the development of the 20th century illogic of the “genetic mutation” (known in 19th century natural history as unable to reproduce much of anything) combined with the notion that Divine order could be recast as scientific random probability to form the transformation of E.O. Wilson’s ant and termite colony based sociobiology into neo-Darwinian selfish gene theory.
E.O Wilson’s original Sociobiology clearly explained its premise in an illustration showing a picture of a worker ant with the caption this ant was the epitome of altruism. Ants’ natural selection is based at the level of the colony, so the individual ant is easily sacrificed for the benefit of the colony. This is not altruism any more than the sloughing off of epidermis skin cells are massive acts of altruism by those cells.
Altruism requires a conscious human understanding; and a personal decision to sacrifice this individual consciousness for the benefit of that individual’s ideals. Taking the ant or termite colony as the epitome of an altruistic human city dehumanizes civilization absolutely. It follows from E.O. Wilson’s groundbreaking observation and analysis of ant and termite colonies. Extending his insights into a doctrine of how human society can be understood and improved is not evolution theory but crass, tyrannical social engineering. Those familiar with Prof. Wilson’s personal style find his neo-Darwinian “modern science” a simple expression of his bombastic and authoritarian personal style.
Reading Robert Wright’s book Three Scientists and Their Gods about E.O. Wilson’s thinking and belief system, I was bewildered by his comments against Darwin’s sibling variation as the source of natural selection, calling it fuzzy thinking. Instead, he insisted that only kin selection of unique “random” DNA mutations could generate evolution. This ignored the logical detail that truly unique mutations of any kind cannot by definition have any kin.
What is the kin of a proto-giraffe creature with the random mutation for a longer neck? It is simply what the 19th century natural historians like Darwin called a ‘sport’ empirically known to be unattractive to others of its ilk and if forced to mate with its peers unable to produce healthy and vigorous offspring. It is not mutated traits but successful sibling variation that slowly eliminates the less successful siblings from the “gene pool” to produce the ‘evolution’ of traits and eventually new species.
Looking at the history of science in the opening years of the 20th century we find that Hugo De Vries discovered and reconfirmed Mendel’s work of forty years earlier in genetics. He also came up with the notion that evolution proceeded by jumps caused by the mutation of genes. Later analysis showed that the plants he studied did not actually produce mutation offspring, their mutant seeds were sterile and they reproduced by other mechanisms.
Mendel’s work in genetics was ignored from its publication in the middle of the 19th century until the beginning of the 20th century since it involved the use of pure bred seeds of 100 generations. Natural historians had little interest in such laboratory-isolation examples or theories. The 20th century was eager for new theories connected to the new notion of the cloistered laboratory free of the general diversity of the natural world. In the first years of the 20th century at least three articles cited Mendel’s newly interesting work.
De Vries notion of genetic mutation as the basis of evolution was maintained in 20th century theory, although his empirical evidence was rejected. E. O. Wilson put it together with his social theories of ant altruism to produce the illogical nonsense of selfish genes with their own independent will guiding evolution to exactly Prof. Wilson’s favorite ends. Only the Stars-n-Dice perspective allows the independent adult thought to realize these logical limitations and chose better alternatives.
No professor could achieve tenured status in a modern academic institution without supporting E.O. Wilson’s neo-Darwinism. This is the same as the centuries no British physics professor could be tenured without believing Newton was the secular saint whose Laws of Gravity were Absolute Truth. Steven Hawking noted that Newton retarded British physics for over a century, although the three greatest physicists are generally considered in academic circles to be Newton, Einstein and Hawking—all celebrity best-selling paradigm authors whose basic work is illogical nonsense when objectively considered.
Stars-n-Dice perspective is an alternative to the cloistered classroom pap that was antique after the Black Death and unable to explain instrument observations by the end of the 19th century. Now the entire millennium of the “modern and academic” is finished with the Climate Crisis born of that academic model of isolated systems in a vast atmosphere run by Divine Will moving along its exponential curve from negligible up until the last few decades, now finishing up its linear ascent equivalent and closing in on its take off point of catastrophe.
Stars-n-Dice perspective explains why today’s youth find nothing interesting in their academic science classrooms. They will be most engaged and intrigued when they are able to learn that prior knowledge is now obsolete and their fresh eyes and new thinking is needed to develop from the ancient Unified Global Awareness a new synthesis that will solve the problems of the modern crusader mentality of racist conquest, oppression, and exploitation of all the indigenous peoples of the Planet Earth as too primitive to burn fossil fuels and use steel guns.
Stars-n-Dice perspective an appreciates the indigenous peoples and their lifestyle which managed to succeed within their local horizon without destroying their environment or generating green house gases. Truly understanding the lessons they have to offer to avoid the impending extinction of the wildly inappropriate blind human assault upon Planet Earth requires only one fundamental change: the realization all knowledge was not given to the medieval Scholastic monks and housed in their official paradigm books in their sacred library that survived the Black Death.
All the rest is commentary and will be quickly learned and refined in this and future generations using the Stars-n-Dice perspective, as it has for all the many centuries since Pythagoras, Lao Tzu, etc. developed their insights. It is not difficult or obscure, but you do have to come out of the cloistered isolation and observe the real world.
